<description>Topic: Liquid Mercury Sim

Message: Hi allAs promised here is a break down of what we did to make the path follow project work. The internal pressure of the emitter was lowered to 0,1 in order to compress the stream and avoid stray particles, which previously originated from when 2 streams got too close to each other and on the inside of tight bends.Tom adjusted the path to even out the high variance in local speed. In the crowdflow Plugin we activated the speed force which will try to keep the particles at a certain speed. The strength was set to 10 and the Path follow strength also to 10. The speed strength works well with the path follow force in some cases, this project being such a case We played with the social forces, but chose not to activate them, as they didn't improve the overall flow of the stream. The frameRange was adjusted to cover the entire length of the path.It worked out well -Cheers Ole

Message: Which frame do the particles start veering from the path of Null02?&#160; Is the path from object frame range high enough, and I assume you've checked that the path follower strength and path connect radius still cover the particles by the time they reach that part of the path?I'm kinda shooting in the dark really without the scene and unfortunately I'm not available tomorrow to take a look.&#160; Have you contacted IoSim directly, via the forum, he's very active here - drop him a PM?Shaun

<description>Topic: Liquid Mercury Sim

Message: Hey.I feel like you can accomplish this effect with a spline wrap in any 3d app with the same shader. It's a whole different story if you are set on creating it in realflow. Not trying to discourage or stray you away. I just feel you can get the same results much faster than dealing with RF.Good luck.
