Re: Retiming with particle positions intact for mesh UVs

Hi there, You're digging into many different things here, so I'll try to sort things a bit. i didn't have any luck retiming the mesh itself, it seemed to duplicate one frame over and over... so now I'm just trying to mesh the retimed particles. That's is definitely the better idea. Retimed meshes do...

Re: Foam particle/particle mesh OpenVDB export

That's not possible by default. The only way to do that is a graph that creates a field from the foam particles and export it as an OpenVDB sequence. Anyway, I think the resolution of the field will not be satisfying for a high-quality volumetric render.

Re: Granular Particles changing IDs during animation

Unfortunately there's no out-of-the-box solution for this issue. In Dyverso, particle IDs change every few frames. The main reason for this behaviour was to make Dyverso ready for GPU simulations: particles are not sorted by ID, but based on their location in the (V)RAM to accelerate the simulations...

Re: Leaving Next Limit

Many, many thanks for your replies and your kind words. This really helps! @Oldcode No, I won't forget you and I'll definitely monitor this forum. If there's something I can help with I'll do that, of course. @katiss I also think that an open discussion might help to shed some light RF's future. And...

Leaving Next Limit

Dear forum members, Unfortunately I have to leave Next Limit by the end of July and I want to say good bye to everyone. Next Limit's decision to dismiss me hit me like a hammer and it will also change every aspect of my life. In terms of profession and future work this also means that I won't be usi...

Re: Hybrido export do i need RPC and VDB? both?

If you want to simulate splashes or foam particles from the Hybrido core fluid then the OpenVDBs are required, because they contain the fluid's distance and velocity fields from which these secondaries will be created. The individual emitter resources are only needed if you want to render their part...

Re: Graph Water To Foam ?

Hi Dmitry, Yes, it's possible to add randomness, but currently I can't see how this addition should help to get more particles around an existing one. OK, I have a rough idea, but most probably this approach is not what you're looking for. The randomness I was talking about was meant to create range...
