I got a demo of realflow off the website demo link, I also got the latest 5.0.3 plugins for my 64bit mac at the studio. I installed realflow 5. it works fine. I recommend you do the setup as outlined above to get the initial shape. Then use scripting to randomly assign gravity/wind to particles, in case of particles receiving wind gravity influence when they are inside the pile, they should stay still, but particles on the outside will gradually get whitt...

thanks for the feedback folks. I am using a particle bin loader to load a bin sequence i created before. Unfortunatelly i do not have the original scene since it was corrupted so i cannot actually redo the sim. I have tried EVERYTHING imaginable with the selection tool and my reward has been crashin...
