Ahh yes my bad, i didnt look if it wrote the bin files. I assumed it wrote those at default because it displays particles in the viewport. So the particles that are showing in the viewport are displayed trought the .gdc files? So i can say its nessasary to write the bin & gdc-files if its needed to ...

Hello, I just lost my 'bin' files of a project i was working on. I simulated with a 'grid domain' and when that was finished i cached the simulation data of the gdc because i added splash afterwords. So i resimulated and just overwrited but didnt check the the particle cache in the export central fo...
