Re: Dyverso Granular experiment - Drop heavy object into sand?

My test https://youtu.be/NPINrT9AN64 Indeed it is a challenge to adapt the rigid body parameters here. On the side of the granular solver we have here a block of heavy snow or mud (kept in place by invisible frame around it) with cohesion. Without cohesion it would be sand. We see here that the rigi...

Re: Help with Foam without Krakatoa?.. no idea what to do

Try dropping some cubes into the sand and see it if explodes or works. Maybe throw me some settings if you get it to work. when i try it the cubes fly off or drop to the bottom.

Ok, I will test some conditions and report back.

Re: Help with Foam without Krakatoa?.. no idea what to do

Yeah, Krakato is a great point-renderer for such tasks. I have it for Cinema4D. But I am afraid that it is a declining product as Thinkbox/Amazon has not made advertising anymore for it and they have not yet decided if they will adapt their C4D-R20 plugin.... Regarding the situation in 3Dsmax I don'...

Re: GPU results? 1080?

Hi Oldcode you can use Dyverso solvers with or without the GPU-acceleration on. Best is a graphic-card with many computation cores and a decent amount of video RAM. The Dyverso system currently uses only one GPU at the time. I see here very nice speed increases with a good GPU and Dyverso in the sta...

Re: Troubleshooting bouncy edges

Hard to tell.... maybe some settings vary between the objects, or one of the objects has modeling flaws such as holes (collision volumes should be closed/watertight)? You can visualize the real voxe-shape of the collision volumes with this option "Show Collision Geometry" and then look at ...

Re: 30% Promo 31Oct-Nov5 for upgrades at Nextlimit

That is nice to hear that you enjoy the plugin for Maya. This was also my reason to get the plugin for Cinema4D: much more control, especially with splines and textures. Another thing we can do now is duplicating emitters in easy ways using the tools we have available in the 3D software. In this way...

Re: GPU results? 1080?

Sure, GPU is a great boost for Dyverso (and only Dyverso) in RF. You have to stay within the VRAM, but that is fine for several millions of particles, which should be fine for most small scale fluids. But I am not a hardware expert and I am simply using the recommended drivers in W10 for my Asus GTX...

Re: Floating fruits?

This works only with the old standard particles or the Dyverso in Liquid-PBD mode. Hybrido does not have the floating feature. It would be easier with the standard particles where you can influence the degree of floating by the mass of the objects and the "impulse" parameter on the object ...

Re: Troubleshooting bouncy edges

You are welcome, I am glad to help. The substeps when you turn off the automatic parameters in the solver at the very top of the RFC4D tree: http://support.nextlimit.com/display/RFC4D2/Scene+%3A+Solver If this does not help enough you could introduce several k"k volume" daemons in the scen...
