Import .obj from Maya - centered gizmo in RF

I've stared this thread here:

Hope someone can take a look.
Answering your question shaun, the pivot appears in RF where the origin was in Maya.

Re: Import .obj from Maya - centered gizmo in RF

As I say, I'm not familiar with the Maya plugin, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't a function to recognise pivots that aren't at the origin.  You could always correct this in RF.  I'm sure the plugin devs will be onto this soon smiley-smile

Nothing in the docs no?

If it's practical and this issue is holding you up, move the pivot in RF.

Re: Import .obj from Maya - centered gizmo in RF

It's a known bug. The pivots from Maya OBJs aren't properly exported into RF, so RF will create a default pivot. There are two possible workarounds:

- create the object in Maya in such a way, that Maya's origin is your object's origin.

- move the pivot in RF.,

Select the object, open it's node properties (x, y, z positions, x, y, z rotations, x, y, z scale and x, y, z pivot).
