Maya - Missing uvmap after sd import

've been struggling with this problem lately. i have a scene where leaves drift away on water. i modelled the leaves in maya, created uvmap and then exported them as sd file using rf plugin.

in realflow i used an emitter made the water flow and made my leaves rigid bodies and everything went fine.

when i imported back the rigid body animation into maya through the plugin(import sde), it imported fine, but now the uvmap is missing. all the uvs are set at 0,0. i need to texture the leaves now.

is there something i'm missing in export/import of sd? how to get back the uvmap in sd files?
